We have asked some of our previous students to write a short passage about what they are now doing since finishing their studies at the school.

Lucas Fernando Gimo

I studied metalwork at the school from June 2005 until June 2007. Since graduation I have been working with a local company in Chimoio doing welding and fabricating.  I have had the opportunity to do many different types of work and I have traveled to work with the company in different locations in Mozambique.  I am married and I have 3 children.

Gimo Andicene

I am married and I have one child. I studied metalwork from June 2005 until June 2007.  At the end of the course I stayed working at the school as workshop assistant to the metalwork teacher.  At the end of 2008 I was offered the opportunity to be evaluated for a welding contract with the company CPMZ that pumps fuel from the Beira on the coast to Zimbabwe.  I have now been working at CPMZ as a welder since March 2009.  It is a good job, hard work and I enjoy it. I have enjoyed the challenge of making bridges and gates for the company.  My hopes include to buy a plot of land in town to build a nice house and to start my own welding shop there.  One day I hope to employ other people.  I thank God for my wife, the training that I have received, my son and the work that He has given me so that I can support my family.
