Maforga Christian Technical School is an integral ministry of Maforga Christian Mission, an independent Christian Mission established by Roy and Trish Perkins in 1985. The mission plays a diverse role in the local community including working with the local churches, educational work, healthcare and orphan care. It is situated in central Mozambique, on the Beira Corridor halfway between Beira on the coast and the border with Zimbabwe.

School Profile

The Technical School was founded and is directed by Aaron and Sarah Beecher.  The vision for the school started in 1995 in response to  the need for vocational training for young adults.  In rural Mozambique many young people have completed primary education but are not equipped to gain employment or to generate an income by working from home.  Construction of the school started in 1998 and  the first students enrolled on a furniture making course in 2002.

As a school we seek to see students lives transformed through the partnership of high quality practical training and personal renewal by the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We place a high emphasis on training for excellence so that graduates have the capacity to train others.

Maforga Christian Mission, the parent organisation of the school, is registered with the Ministry of Justice Department of Religious Affairs in Mozambique.
